I spent 5 days at home last week. It looked a little like this:
No place I’d rather be!
Spoiler alert…instagram photos will probably be the only thing I post about for the next 7-10 days.
Or years.
People…I can’t even tell you how excited I was when I found out that an instagram app for the demon the droid had been released. It was like my birthday/Christmas/the Super Bowl all rolled into one…x 10. My daily sin count is going to be lowered by approximately 10,000 coveting points now that I no longer have to envy everyone else’s amazing instagram photos.
I’ll just stick to solely envying their iPhones instead.
It’s a 50% decrease!
Here are my favorite instagram photos from Easter weekend…expect a lot (LOT) more where these came from.
And p.s. – come find me on instagram and let’s follow each other!!! I’m bekastays.
Things that made today so wonderful:
:: hope ::
“The Lord is alive and well in your heart. His resurrection resulted in Christ taking up residence in your soul and transforming your life. By faith you believed and God gave you grace upon grace. Because He has risen from the grave, He has given all who confess Him as Lord, abundant grace on earth and the promise of heaven with Him. “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ” Romans 5:7. He is all you need.”

:: chocolate ::
(Which is loosely related to hope.)
:: running ::
holiday
No excuse for my mom and me not to go for a little run around the block.
(Where she ran her FIRST, but definitely not last, outdoor mile!!!)
:: sports ::
1. Watching Bubba Watson win the Masters in “double overtime.” (Thank you, Mom, for that.)
2. Watching Moneyball : “He hit a home run and he didn’t even know it.” (Thank you, Jonah Hill, for that.)
Really, what else could you ask for? Faith, food, family, fitness and fun. All of my favorite things on a beautiful, meaningful day. Hope you guys had a great day, too! Happy Easter, everyone!
This song stopped me in my tracks while making lunch today. I was just going to share the lyrics, but when I saw this video I thought it would be a wonderful way to start preparing for Easter Sunday instead:
Redeeming love truly “has been my theme, and shall be til I die.”
(Thank you, Lord.)
While I was searching for Easter inspiration on Pinterest yesterday I came across so many scripturally-based designs. These are the real gems!
Enjoy celebrating Easter, friends! Yellow daffodils and jelly beans and hopping bunnies and all – but especially the hope we have in Christ!
(That’s the best part…even when Easter candy is involved.)
People…how is Easter here already?! I don’t feel like I’ve even begun to adequately celebrate and it’s only a week away!
Which means it’s time to bring in the big guns. Pinterest, I’m looking at you.
What better solution to this problem (and really, all problems) than a quick trip around Pinterest to round up some Easter inspiration? These were a few of my favorites; stay tuned for a second installment tomorrow!
(Mason Jar Easter Baskets?!?! Be still my heart!)
(fantastic idea for using up loads of Easter candy – make Easter bark!)
(This one’s my favorite idea! LOVE everything about this place setting!)
Also (sugar coma) inspiring: this oldie but goodie, an ode to Easter candy.
(And really, isn’t Easter candy one of the best things about life? Thank you, egg-shaped treats of all kinds, for being so wonderful.)
