the dailies : 10.20.11

daily word: “I love Rochester.” I said it multiple times, in multiple contexts, for multiple reasons. But without a single flinch! It was true every single time. Who knew?!

daily sweat: 75 minute power vinyasa class to start the day off right! Love it.

daily dish: I was pretty much the happiest person on the planet when I came home to one of these at my doorstep:

That right there is an autumn trifle cupcake from Sugar Mountain Bakeshop. Molasses cupcake, pumpkin filling, gingerbread buttercream. It was so heavenly. I tried to get one a few weeks ago to no avail so I considered it a lost cause…until Lauren surprised me with this gem today. A kinder soul cannot be found. (Thank you, Lauren!)
Disclaimer: I did not eat this for dinner. I ate this and brussels sprouts for dinner. That totally equals the scales.

Day 45: autumn has arrived

PBB&J Oatmeal – Peanut Butter, Banana, and Jelly Oatmeal. So satisfying.

snack:

I love these mini granola bars from Cascadian Farms. They’re the perfect size for a snack or a pre-workout energy boost, which is what this one was today.

lunch:

Frozen banana cream! Love it! And a multigrain cocopop with hummus.

dinner 1:

Oh, yes. HECK yes, I had this beast for dinner! The lovely Lauren and I went to Sugar Mountain Bake Shoppe a few minutes before they opened, figuring that we’d be just in time. But much to our surprise we were met with a line out the door…all the way out to the sidewalk! I guess we weren’t the only ones in the mood for gigantic cupcakes today. I opted for Chocolate Peanut Butter when Autumn Trifle SOLD OUT by the time we got to the counter, and Lauren went for Cakes ‘n Bacon. We were both overjoyed with our selections.

dinner 2:

I’m counting the opening game snack bar as a second round of dinner, since a) my first round was a cupcake and b) there was enough food here to actually make a dinner. Sweet potato waffle fries, popcorn with Parmesan and garlic-infused oil, and chips and salsa.

Day 4: lambeau leap

An appropriate flashback for today! And I can’t hold it in…I have to talk about this. It’s currently the 3rd quarter, and I just witnessed Randall Cobb score on the most amazing return I’ve ever seen. As per Twitter:
